Jyoti Kandel

Founder & Hospitality Visionary at The Spark Indian & Nepali Cuisine

With over 11 years of leadership in the restaurant industry, Jyoti Kandel brings a deep well of experience and passion to The Spark Indian & Nepali Cuisine. His journey in hospitality began after earning his Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management in Nepal, which laid the foundation for a successful career managing top-tier restaurants and hotels across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

In addition to hands-on experience, Jyoti holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from renowned institutions in London and California. Throughout his career, he has worked with high-end restaurants where he honed his skills in customer service excellence, operational efficiency, and brand development.

Jyoti is known for his innovative approach to hospitality, combining creativity with a keen understanding of guest expectations. His strength lies in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams while fostering a positive and service-driven culture.

His unwavering commitment to quality, attention to detail, and strong work ethic continue to shape the guest experience at The Spark Indian & Nepali Cuisine, just as they have at Aroma Grill & Bar. Jyoti’s vision and leadership make him the driving force behind the success and reputation of both restaurants.

At The Spark Indian & Nepali Cuisine, we’re proud to introduce the culinary talent behind our kitchen — Chef Shreeram Sapkota. A true culinary gem, Chef Shreeram brings the rich, soulful flavors of Nepal and India to life with every dish he creates.

Born amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Nepal, Chef Shreeram’s passion for cooking was ignited early, inspired by the traditional recipes lovingly passed down from his mother. His journey led him to New York, where he trained in some of the finest Indian and Nepali restaurants, mastering the art of blending spices, textures, and aromas into unforgettable meals.

Now based in Texas, Chef Shreeram invites you to experience an authentic and heartfelt culinary adventure. Each dish on our menu is a tribute to his roots — crafted with dedication, tradition, and the same warmth that defines true South Asian hospitality.
